Ledyard C.H.A.I.N. Projects
For those that are new to C.H.A.I.N., I wanted to introduce you to our projects we fundraise for that benefit the Ledyard Animal Control.
The Oliver Project covers the cost to spay and neuter stray and feral cats that are trapped by the Ledyard Animal Control. We also buy them traps, build shelters, and offer food if needed.
The Fixed 4 Life Fund covers the cost to spay and neuter adoptable pets at the Ledyard Animal Control.
Our Emergency Medical Fund is to assist the pets at the Ledyard Animal Control who need more care than the shelter can fund. We then step in to raise the fund needed to get the animal back to good health so that it can be adopted.
Our Pet Fund Assistance Program not only helps us with food for the pets at the Ledyard Animal Control but also allows us to give to other organizations that help those in need. Currently, the organizations that we supply with pet foods are the Ledyard Food Pantry, the Meals on Wheels Clients in Ledyard and Gales Ferry, and Free Store Connecticut. We also offer pet food gift bags during the holidays when the Town of Ledyard hands out their food baskets. If you would like to give a donation of pet food to help us meet the needs of our community, please visit our "Donate" page for a list of the locations of our donation boxes. You may also give by using our Amazon Wish List, donating gift cards from stores that offer pet goods, or you may make a cash donation to the fund.
